About me

Hello! I am Giulia. I was born in Mercedes but raised in Mar del Plata province of Buenos Aires. When I was five years old my family and I moved to Mar del Plata and we have lived in this city since then.  My family has Italian roots (that’s why my name is Julia in Italian). I am Italian-Argentinian. My dad was from Torino and my nonna (grandmother) and my nonno (grandfather) from Arezzo. I have two brothers and five nephews.

My family and I love travelling around the world, I think it is in our DNA, although I am the wanderer who loves adventure. Without any doubt it could be said that Traveling is my passion and I will never stop doing this. I love being in contact with people from other cultures. I speak English and Italian fluently. I was incredibly fortunate to obtain several scholarships, which allowed me to travel to Italy several times and to live in Milan, Ravenna, Bari and other Italian cities. I love showing and teaching the culture of my country to foreigners for that reason I am a tourist guide as well.

Extraordinary experiences!

I have had different types of travel’s experiences. For example, as a nomad with only my backpack, I have traveled alone hundreds of times, with friends, as a couple and of course, with my family. Where I have stayed have also varied from the traditional hotels, hostels, B&B to sleep in family houses or in a tent. The way in which I have travelled so far has changed too. I have travelled by boat, by plane, by train and on foot through several countries on different continents such as Europe, America and Asia. When I was in Asia, I visited Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore. In 2018, I had the experience of being in the African continent, where I chose to explore South Africa and Victoria Falls. There I had my first experience as a hitchhiker. I also bought travel’s vacation packages but I didn’t do it too many times, in fact, I can count them on the fingers of one hand. Today, after trying many options, I choose slow travel, to walk without any rush, discover different cultures and places according to my interests and not according to what a travel guide suggests. What I like the most is seeing what the daily life of people in other parts of the world is like, so I recommend that you someday and somewhere stay and sleep in a family home so you can experience the culture from another perspective
