A walk through the historic city center will give you the opportunity to visit some of the most famous and typical places in Rome. Piazza Navona, is a cosmopolitan meeting landmark with many cafes, seasonal fairs and perhaps the most elegant square I have never seen. The San Luigi dei Francesi Church is the place where there are three famous paintings by Caravaggio. The Pantheon, dedicated to all the Gods, with the largest reinforced concrete vault in the world and one of the best preserved ancient buildings in Rome. Piazza Colonna with in the center the famous column of Marcus Aurelius. The Trevi Fountain, the largest Baroque fountain in the city and one of the most famous in the world. It is said that if you throw a coin into the fountain, you will return to Rome again (don’t forget to make it true) ,other famous places are Plaza de España: with its 18th century atmosphere, Bernini’s fountain, “La Barcaccia” and its famous Spanish staircase that leads to the Church of “La Trinità dei Monti.The Vatican is undoubtedly one of the must-see places. The first Sunday of each month you can visit it for free, so it is important that you go there early in the morning so as not to find a long queue at the main entrance. This visit will take you practically a whole day.

To travel to Naples there are several options: by train,plane or rent a car. The truth is that you travel without any problem by train.

 Naples underground is an obligatory stop, it is a totally fascinating tour. Participating in the excursion means taking a journey through history, 40 meters deep between tunnels. During this visit, you will admire the remains of the Greco-Roman aqueduct and the anti-aircraft shelters from World War II. In my case it was a mobilizing visit to be so close to a war tank.

Touring Naples will entertain you, people are very expressive and it has an extremely attractive fair. Walking along the coast and having a coffee admiring the castle is unforgettable.If you are from Argentina they will love you! Since it is the land of Maradona, there are statues and murals of Diego everywhere.

Pompeii is very close from Naples and you can visit it in one day. Another imposing place near Naples is Vesuvius, I assure you that these places have amazing views that will remain in your memory forever.

 Travelling from Naples by train or car  you  go to Positano which is the icon of the Amalfi Coast. Its streets are very narrow and close to the cliff. What I remember most is the scent of orange blossoms everywhere. They make some delicious lemon sweets like the famous granita.

Then you start the trip by train or car to Bari, which is in the puglia. Spending two days in that place is more than enough. There are very close places that are worth it, such as Alberobello, which was declared a World Heritage Site. It is a place that cannot be reached by public transport.

I recommend you to stay in Bari, which is cheaper than Alberobello . In case you decide to stay at Alberobello you should stay at Grand Hotel Olimpo.

A small town that I still remember fondly is Giovinazzo, it is very small but with a magnificent waterfront, ideal to  have a drink outdoors..
